Also, check with your service if they charge delivery fees or fuel surcharges or if there are weight restrictions. If so, to keep weight down, make sure you cover your dumpster with a tarp when not in use as rain or snow can dampen the material and add moisture weight. Also, if you are cleaning out your household, any old appliances (that are still working) or gently used furniture can be donated so as not to add weight to the dumpster.
